Buttons
It is not just buttons
In the beginning was the button. However, just as bronze ornaments, blindly attached to the Germanic gowns. Finally a Bronze Age designer started the time of modern clothing by inventing a button hole matching the button - a new sealing technology that revolutionized the fashion world - until now. Buttons made of bronze, of course, hemdwerk can not deliver. But high-quality buttons made of mother of pearl imitation. At hemdwerk cheap plastic will never be attached to the button tape. All buttons on the front are tighthly and cleanly attached in cross stitch method. This also applies to the spare buttons on the care label, the one on the sleeve and the two small buttons in a button-down collar. Our shirts will receive either an single-stitched French placket, a real button-tape or a hidden button tape, on which the buttons are attached either visible or invisible. All of your tailored shirt buttons are attached by hand. This step alone requires a lot of time. But only this way we can be sure that they withstand heavy use without getting torn off. If you still encounter a small mishap, you can use the supplied spare buttons. These are discreetly sewn inside the shirt.
Flat buttons

High buttons
hemdwerk buttons are usually matched to the color of the shirt fabric used. High buttons are available in these colors: white, blue, pink, red, black. |

Real pearl buttons (flat)
The noblest way to close one´s shirt are of course buttons made of genuine mother of pearl. Therefore shell limestone was punched in thin but hard little disks, sanded and polished to a shine that shimmers in all colors of the rainbow. |
