| In former days sleeves were closed by cuff-links, today in the vast majority of men´s shirts this task is carried out by already attached buttons. This, in turn, developed several versions of cuffs. | So one can differ for example between adjustable barrel cuff or barrel cuff 2-buttons. The difference is in the attachment of buttons. With the buttons of the barrel cuff being side by side, the buttons of the barrel cuff 2-buttons are affixed one above the other and both are closed. More differences are included in the kinds of cuff-ends. One finds it square, but also rounded. |
Barrel cuff, adjustable
| The barrel cuff with two adjustable buttons is the undisputed standard cuff for most of the shirts. It´s no wonder because it suits a business shirt, casual shirt and also the sophisticated dress shirt doesn´t look less formal with it. |
Barrel cuff, 2-buttons
| Another variant of the barrel cuff 2-buttons. This cuff type is characterized by two buttons attached one above the other. |
French cuff
| The classic is, of course, the french cuff. On this type the lower part of the cuff is folded over and fixed with cufflinks. With shirt and cuff links suiting well one with another, it is a sign of good taste of the wearer and the cuff links decorate him as a piece of jewelry. Use your cuff-links together with this shirt.
